Cwiny Nia Initiative (CN Initiative) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Garland, Texas, and provides services in Garland, downtown Dallas, and part of Oak Cliff. We are dedicated to strengthening the well-being of individuals and families impacted by poverty, housing instability, and involvement with the justice system.

Who We Are

We stand with people in crisis — unhoused neighbors, individuals kept in jail pretrial because they lack the resources or support to secure release, and families with loved ones who are or have been incarcerated — so that freedom, dignity, and real support are within reach for everyone. Rooted in a founder’s lived faith and community care, we pair compassion with evidence-based solutions to meet urgent needs, restore families, and push systems to truly serve those most affected. Communities impacted by poverty, detention, displacement, and systemic instability often face fragmented systems that make recovery difficult. CN Initiative works to bridge immediate stabilization with long-term community support, advocacy, and leadership development.
